The papers of Dr. Talmage "Mac" Martin, a retired Carrollton physician originally from Bowdon, consist of oral history recordings and photographs relating to his two volume work,WWII: Ordinary Heroes. The 87 audio cassettes of oral histories, along with accompanying photographic portraits and veteran's files, provide a detailed picture of the service, emotions, and experiences of World War II veterans from our region.
